ANNE FRANK FOUNDATION
THE STORY.
Are hateful comments on social media discrimination? Where is the line between freedom of expression and discrimination? Why are equal rights important? Is unequal treatment always discrimination? How do stereotypes and prejudices arise? And when do they become really dangerous?
The Anne Frank Foundation offers educational programs on its platform for primary and secondary schools on the themes of prejudice, stereotypes, discrimination and equal rights. In a series of videos that I directed and edited, young people share their opinions and insights with each other, and with the camera. From funny anecdotes to painful confrontations, they unburdened themselves to each other and sought support. The website with educational programs of which the videos are a part won a Webby Award for best digital learning environment in 2019. Below videos are in Dutch, but on annefrank.org you can find them in English.
